Well as the weather is bad I have managed to catch up on some website work and blogs as i have been so busy the last few months. So here is one of the gardens I designed and built in the late summer.
It is a Japanese themed garden that I took on after the initial landscaping had been done.
The client was very pleased with the garden but wanted to give a more japanese feel to the top part as it wasn’t really being used and was at the top of a very steep garden. As the top garden has very little use the budget was quite small.
So the challenge was set to make this there favorite part of the garden and well worth the trek all the way up there to enjoy it.
It had an amphitheater style lawn at top so we created a rock scape with large rockery stone set into curtain areas within the lawn and planted japanese style plants around the stone .
At the very top we planted wisteria against the trellis and placed a japanese style bench in front giving grate views over the town and adding a focal point to the garden.
The lower gravel area was planted up with azaleas,ferns and iris around a center japanese wash bowl.
These small changed to this garden really transformed its appearance and created a garden the client was very proud of.
